Description
Moiré is a voltage-controllable master clock, clock divider, and multiplier module designed as the rhythmic center for Buchla compatible format 4U modular systems.
Named after the complex wave patterns created by overlapping grids, Moiré provides three independent clock generators—C, X, and Y—each equipped with its own ring of seven divided outputs (/2 through /8). With CV-controllable tempo, variable pulse phase delay and pulse length, external sync routing, independent channel resets, and a CV-driven multiplier/divider engine assignable to section X or Y, Moiré turns basic timing signals into evolving, polyrhythmic patterns.
Key Features:
- Internal VCO master clock with CV rate control, adjustable phase delay, and pulse length.
- 3 independent division rings (C, X, Y) featuring simultaneous /2 through /8 outputs.
- Assignable Multiplier / Divider engine (/2, /3, /5, /7, x2, x3, x4, x5) with dedicated CV input for channel X or Y.
- Individual manual reset buttons and pulse reset inputs for all three channels.
- External clock inputs with dedicated toggle switches for flexible sync options.
- Standard Buchla 4U compatible panel format with high-quality banana jack connectivity.
