Le Jardin des Murmures is inspired of the legendary Serge filter. A complete make over of the circuit to work together in your Buchla eco system.

This module can be used in different ways. The switch (“SUBSONIC”) extends the range of the filter into the
sub-audio range. The filter may then be used to filter low-frequency control voltages. Triggers applied to the
PING in will cause the filter to go into damped low frequency oscillations, controlled by the RESONANCE and the filter’s
FREQUENCY.

With high resonance, this creates a short percussive sound that can be tuned with the frequency knob. This is incredibly good for creating kicks, toms, wood blocks, and sine wave melodic lines. In low frequency mode, this creates a very interesting 1 shot lfo that decays after a few seconds.

The module has 1,2V/Oct tracking over 4 octaves. Patch the filter to self-oscillate (BAND out to IN jack (A) and turn up the GAIN pot) to do so. All outputs give a different waveform when the filter self-oscillates.

High: High pass output. 12db per octave. 270 degrees phase shifted from the Bandpass output.

Band: Band pass output. 6db per octave.

Low: Low pass output. 12 db per octave. 90 degrees phase shifted from the band pass output.

Notch: Notch output. 6db per octave. 180 degrees phase shifted from the band pass output.

At the bottom you will find a harmonic section. It provides a sweep of the odd harmonics (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13th) when a sine wave is applied to its input and the knob is turned up or a control voltage is swept from low to high. A second input is included to allow two signals to be mixed before processing, a technique that we have found to be very usable. This section can be used to explore timbral areas beyond the range of ring modulation because there are more varied harmonics than the sum and difference tones.
  • Time to make some demos #jardindesmurmures
  • Let’s talk about 1974 echo chamber with tape.

Issues:
- wining motor
- faulty leaking caps
- faulty ac transfo

As new now and good for another 50 years 🚀
  • The Dual Morphing Multimode filter joins the silver panel line.
This demo covers the morphing outputs, HP / BP and LP outputs.
